Grass reaches up one last time
To touch the sun before days
Darken and it bows down to
Wind, rain and snow
Rocks glisten drenched in water
Carried from a sea faraway to a
Land it will never see to quench
The thirst of a soil dry and dying
Clouds roll in changing colour and
Shape as they play in the sky for
One last time dancing together
Before the hall doors close
My senses absorb the changes
Autumn brings penetrating my
Clothes and soaking my skin in reds
Browns, greens, blues and greys the
Colours of the changing seasons
