The diary of an inconsequential person – 42

Tuesday, 01 August 2023

Today was a nice, steady day. In the morning it was off to get some bits and some petrol although the clunking noises from the suspension of my car were a worry. I had the same noises when I bought it and one of the springs had gone. My car has it’s MOT at the end of the month but I’m hoping to buy a newer car before that and as good as my car has been to me it’ll time for it to go to the big scrapyard in the sky.

Home and some uni work, I actually made good progress and did quite a bit I needed to do, then a nap and something to eat before heading over to Mytholmroyd and Crow Hill Reverse fell race tonight.

My legs were still aching from yesterday’s run, so I decided to watch the start and finish of the race in the woods with some of my friends from CVFR. I got a good video of the uphill start and around 33 minutes later one of our juniors appeared through the trees to take the win, his first as a senior and it won’t be his last.

Afterwards I went to the pub for the presentation and a chat with running friends and then home for something to eat and an early night, ready for the next day.
