Do I remember life before the internet?

I do remember life before the internet! I remember it very well too. I probably have rose tinted specs on, but it was a less stressful, more simple and easy going time, where your life wasn’t ruled by a plastic box in the corner. The internet has brought a lot of significant advances that have made life easier in some ways, but at what cost for humanity? Before the internet no-one ever talked about mental health and now everyone does. Is there a connection and is the effect of the internet on our mental health the price we have to pay for the advantages it brings?
